Jane joined Sodexo in 1982 as a Management Trainee and has successfully worked in various management roles and the delivery of systems training.Jane started supporting the development of security services for Sodexo in 2007 and successfully completed training qualifications to become a Security Industry Approved trainer. Jane developed the Sodexo Women in Security network in 2012, promoting diversity within the security industry which currently only has an average of 9% female workers. Through driving the network and upskilling women to pursue careers in the industry, Sodexo‚Äôs percentage of female security workers is 18.2%.Jane has a passion for developing people to their full potential and ensures that they are recognised for their achievements seeing one northern star win the 2016 Sodexo Rising Star award Jane has won the prestigious Professional Security Magazine ‚ÄúWomen in Security Industry Award 2013‚Äù for encouraging more women into the security industry and the Northern Power Women Transformational Leader award in 2017.In 2017, Jane was appointed Head of Security for Sodexo UK & Ireland and became the first female Chairman of International Professional Security Association in its 60 year history. In May 2020 Jane was admitted onto the register of Chartered Security Professionals as the seventh woman on the register. The Register of Chartered Security Professionals was established under a Royal Charter issued to the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals in the UK. Being admitted to the Register and becoming a CSyP is a means of being recognised and continuing to represent the highest standards and ongoing proficiency. It is the gold standard of competence in security.
