How To Transform Your Personal Brand

2015 is underway and it’s a great time to assess yet another year that seems to have flown by!

January is always a great time to reflect and think about the direction that you want to take in the coming year. It’s time to consider the things that went well, assess the things that didn’t and look at how you can progress this year.

It’s time to consider what you waste and how much time you spend on your own brand. We all drive to make our businesses work for us and our customers so, throughout this year, I suggest that it’s time to invest in ‚Äòbrand you’!

Everyone needs resolutions, whether they are personal or business-focused. It could be making more time for networking, focusing more on social media or surrounding yourself with people that will help to grow and develop your brand. Whichever direction you choose to take, go down that path wholeheartedly and let 2015 be the year that changed your business for the better.

Gain some perspective; structure the message that you want to send out to your potential and existing customers and adopt a winner’s attitude. Consider the products and services that you already provide and how you can enhance and personalise them. Create a brand that is so unique, people will happily become advocates and cannot wait to tell their associates the incredible and distinctive service that they received from you and your employees.

Make sure that you are sending out the right messages for your business with the online platforms that you are using. Your headshot is an effective way of rebranding your social media and website ‚Äì after all, smiles mean business! It is a great way to show people that you take yourself and your brand seriously and that you are willing to invest in your company’s image.

When I met Lara Morgan from Company Shortcuts, I attended several of her events. Lara had her professional headshot done with me and knows how valuable it is to have the right image on all your social media profiles and your website as this builds your online credentials and gives the professional brand image.

Another invaluable tool is going to the right networking events. In early December, I had the pleasure of attending the TEDxWhitehallWomen event and photographing the delegates. It was fantastic to see like-minded female entrepreneurs coming together, sharing their ideas and providing solutions for one another.

Each person has their own story ‚Äì you never know who you might meet and what you can learn from them. Women like these and all the women I’ve ever met at through Women 1st give me the passion to build a personal relationship and rapport with each individual I photograph. I look forward to spending more time around these inspirational ladies in the New Year.

Yes, 2014 was great but 2015 is already bursting with potential. Make sure you make the most of this blank canvas that has been offered to us once more. It’s time to embrace the New Year, new profile, new you.
