The Power Platform now spans a global community, but it was originally developed to support out two networks, Northern Power Women and Northern Futures, connect, collaborate, empower and inspire. We wanted to make it easier for people to connect to each other which would mean that we could accelerate the growth of these networks and the impact they deliver. Covid has brought a sense of urgency around supporting people and communities bringing them together to support the personal growth and economic growth locally and globally.
Who was the Platform aimed at and what are the benefits?
We created this platform
For schools to link into the business community.
For university students and lecturers to support employability and inspire students
For the public sector to support education and skills, and staff development and economic growth
For private sector enable corporate social responsibility, staff development and business opportunities
For SME’s and to access pro bono skills that help to start up and scale up their business
For individuals to help build their network, raise aspirations, give something back
For community groups and charities to showcase their projects and ask for support to deliver projects and programmes etc.
To support post covid recovery matching people to opportunities, support people emotionally through what it an unprecedented time, supporting those who have lost jobs and address hopes and fears
